High heeled boots are worn in fall and winter season to keep legs warm but there are styles designed for spring and summer which are more about fashion, not just function.
As high heels add inches to the legs, they are easier to pair with any outfit, whether jeans, dress, skirt, or leggings. High heeled boots are perfect for any occasion as well.
Selecting high heel boots depends on your own personal preferences, appearance, body frame, and occasion you are going to wear the boots. Black and brown boots are suitable for formal occasions and office while fancy bright colors and sassy styles are acceptable for parties and a night out.
Another point to take into account is your body height. Petite women usually wear high heel boots in order to boost their height. On the other hand short people don’t usually wear over the knee boots because their make their legs appear even shorter than they actually are.
It is not easy to find high heeled boots to fit wider legs and be comfortable enough to wear all day long. Most women think that boots are either high heels or comfortable by why scarify comfort for style. If you choose carefully you can find a pair that can give you good support, and fit your foot, arch, ankle, and calf.
Look for boots which are solid enough to bear your weight and prevent slips, especially in icy conditions, accidents, and so on. Stiletto style heels may seem sexier but platforms and wedges are good alternatives for high heels as well. In case of wide calves it is very important to select boots with shaft made to fit wide legs. Usually boots are made with shaft circumference around 14” which is not enough to accommodate muscle calf. Do make sure boots shaft is wide enough for your legs.
On the other hand do not settle for loose boots as they will not support your ankles and can cause bruises after several hours of wearing. Last but not least loose shaft boots will make your calves appear larger than their actual width.
Check if the boots are made of quality durable materials, double check if the heel is sturdy enough, and don’t forget anatomically correct insoles to ensure your feet remain in the proper position to reduce fatigue.
When you first try on a pair of boots make sure they fit perfectly everywhere, and their isn’t anything that catches on your feet or legs. Although leather and suede loose with time, places you only ‘feel’ at the first wearing can cause blisters and bruises after several hours of wearing.
As a whole, high heel boots for wide calves may seem more difficult to select, but once you find a pair to fit your legs, and give you the comfort and fit you desire, you will enjoy the experience. You will love comfortable boots that make you appear slimmer and sexier and will wear them regularly.
